I don't like the wide metal rim to get a skinny sidewall, instead of more rubber sidewall. Nor do I care for the long exposed lug bolts.

Different strokes for different folks. I still like my classics with rubber sidewalls AND chrome.

Is super long wheel studs supposed to be a new trend or something? If so, I don't like it.

the studs do not have to be that long to be legal for every sanctioning body. the open lugs are required and certain requirements are on the stud length, but those are too long by a good means. hell, they technically don't even have to extend through the lug by the rule of the book.

Well, looks like we got caught doing a little testing at Sebring... You're going to have to hold out for the full article in an upcoming issue of GM High Tech Performance but for now, you can get a good feel for the Weld Racing RT-S wheels in an 18x1? on the back of the STI Killer!
