Default 17" Skinny Front Wheel Weight/Price Comparison

Hey All!

I've been searching and searching for weights, but almost all of the numbers I come up with are for 15" front skinny rims!

I'm trying to compare these 17" front rims...

This is what I've found... (these weights are WITHOUT tires)

**17" FRONT SKINNY WHEEL WEIGHTS/PRICES** (all of these are 17x4.5, 2.25" BS)

17 weld aluma star __11.2 lb ***(see this post) ___$586 McCormack
17" weld rt-s _______13 lb from this thread ______$457 Texas-Speed
17" GTO spare skinny 13.25 lb from this post... ____PRICES VARY
17" race star skinny _16 lb 10 oz (I weighed them) _$215 McCormack

17x7 Billet street lite - 17 lb

15x4 bogarts 6 lb. $$$
15x9.5 rears bogarts 10 lb $$$

Are these weights right? Do the junkyard GTO spares really weight less than the race star 'drag stars', which are listed as 'extremely light' (>$200 each) and almost the same as the $450+ Weld RT-S rims?

17" SKINNY TIRES... from this post

M&H Radials - 185/55R-17 = 18.50 lbs//$156 SUMMIT

M&H Bias 4.5/26-17 = 11.50 lbs//$153 JEGS

**SAFETY PRECAUTION** DO NOT RUN RADIAL FRONT TIRES WITH BIAS REAR TIRES (ET STREETS, ET DRAGS, etc are bias tires)**

Here are the rims I couldn't find weights for... does anyone have the weights for these?
17" bogart skinny

Does anyone know how much a 17" bogart skinny wheel weighs/cost?

Thanks in advance!

From the Jeg's website:

I can't find a weight for the 17 x 4.5 alumastar, but....

15 x 3.5 aluma star 2.0 9.8 lb
15 x 10 aluma star 2.0 11.2 lb

so, I'm guessing the 17x4.5 aluma star doesn't weight more than the 15x10?

Until i find more accurate numbers, I'll list the 17x4.5 aluma star weight as the same as a 15x10...

17x4.5 aluma star 2.0 11.2 lb

Not necessarily a true skinny, but the billet specialties streetlites in a 17x7 weighs 17lbs and a 205/50/17 tire (depending on the brand etc) weighs 20lbs

im interested in the 17s stuff cause of my z06 i can only run 17s with the brakes. but why would a bias ply front differe from a radial front. i would think the radial fronts would make the car more stable because the et streets on the back with stock fronts. the car is all over the place!

my rims should show up tomorrow so the sonner i know what to pick the better lol. my choices are m/t bias ply or radial fronts. then the 7.5 inch wide hoosier fronts???? who runs those and how well are they running a 7.5 tire on a 4.5 rim???

I have the Hoosier 26x7.5 fronts on 17x4.5 Alumastars and they work great. I also have been 120+ traps on them with my Cobra using bias ply rear tires and have had no issues.

Ive never ran a skinny before. My buddy Bad6as has on a few cars and has always found kumho for his cars because he can run 15s. So my question to you guys is, what is the best street strip tire to run? Im trying to keep weight down as much as possible
