Default What colour to powder coat these wheels?

I have a set of magnesium C5 wheels that I bought from a member on this site. The finish on them isnt great, and I am thinking about powder coating them. I might even try plasti-dipping them a few different colours to see what they look like prior to getting the powder coating done.

I look forward to your oppinions.

Thanks.

Gloss black would look good, I also think a very dark green would look very good to!

Yeah, I ran into the same thing.. I put dark metallic grey painted TT2s on my Formula and initially thought it would look really cool when I pictured it in my head, but once I got them on the car, I didn't think they went together so well and kinda wished I had just gone with polished. I think that dark metallic green color would be a similar experience. Hard to say.

As other said, I'd just leave them as is or restore the stock finish, I don't think the added cost is worth the benefit.

Thanks for the input.

I was just worried that The green and gold thing is a little played out...

Any other thoughts??

I almost bought a set of these years ago and I remember stumbling across a guy on corvette forum that had them professionally polished. From what he said he had them professionally blasted and polished and the magnesium will polish out like standard aluminum does. If you were to do that and then use glisten pc (a por15 product) or something similar your have an ultra one-off wheel set that would be fairly easy to keep clean too.

IMO, the dark green or any dark colors would be a lot more subtle then a light/bright color.
Here's my car as an example, except it's NBM.
