What size tires to get? Help?!?!
Okay guys, I am going to be ordering some wheels from oe wheels and have no clue what tires to get, the wheels are going to be 17/9.5 in front and 18/10.5 in the rear, so my question is, i was thinking of getting 295/30/18s for the rear, but will that be to short? i want wide tires but i can only get a decent price on that size and im worried there will be to much of a gap between my tires and wheel well, and i hate that, one of the reasons im getting new wheels and tires, anybody have suggestions or pictures of their wheel and tire set up? Thanks alot guys!

Without being able to find a pic, I would say the gap would be there. My tires are 285/35/19 in the rear. That's bigger than stock and it was still 4x4 status before I lowered. If your are going with a 30 profile on a 18" rim out back, that will be about .6" shorter than stock, therefore making it more significant. Maybe increase profile to fill the wheel well slightly better

Okay thanks for the reply!! I am going to get 285/40/18. I cant more than a 40 profile for a decent price. Worst case ill just end up lowering.

Yeah.. You'd be best off running 295/35/18's.. That's what I'm running on my 18x11's. I switched from 315/30/18's for a taller sidewall. The 295/35/18s aren't that expensive either.

I'd run the 275/40-17 up front and 295/35-18 in the rear. They are within a half inch of each other so ABS will play nice. The sidewall will be different, but you're running staggered wheel sizes, so there's not much you can do about that. Going with a 30 series on the rear will make it look even worse as you'll have rubber bands for tires and a pretty decent sidewall up front.

Here's my car with 275/35ZR18's (25.57 diameter) before being lowered.
After a chop drop on the same tires.
Here it is with my 285/35ZR18's (25.85" diameter) on the Front and 295/35ZR18's (26.1" diameter) on the back. This is with the Summit Springs (1.25" drop) and Stagg Shocks.
On a side note, I have really crappy current pics of my car....

295/40R18 gives you a really tall 27.2" tire. Performance will suffer, noticeably.
You need the following;
Springs
Shocks
Adjustable Pan-Hard Bar
Lower Control Arm Relocation Brackets
BFH for those tires
Alignment
At a minimum.

To help with "stance", offset is what you will be looking for. The closer the wheel is to the edge of the car, the less prevalent the wheel gap will seem. So you want to push the wheels outboard, away from the center.
Lowering the car will offer the best stance, but does cost more.
