Default Lightweight Hard Anodized 7075-T6 Aluminum Lug Nuts

We've just released our lightweight aluminum lug nuts. These are machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and true hard anodized.

A lot of the lug nuts you see on the market claim to be hard anodized, but often they are not. Hard anodized plating is typically only available in black and a gunmetal gray/bronze color. If it's any other color, it's most likely not hard anodized. These lug nuts are much more durable and difficult to scratch than your typical aluminum lug nut.

Price is $90 for a set of 20. Corvettes and F-Bodys use M12 x 1.50 mm thread. Available on our website here: http://www.improvedracing.com/wheel-...150-p-501.html

Features and Benefits
  • Lightweight at just 0.88 oz (25 grams)
  • Machined from 7075-T6 billet aluminum
  • True Type III hard anodized in gunmetal gray for excellent scratch resistance
  • M12 x 1.25 threads
  • 19mm hex
  • Open end design accommodates extended wheel studs and permits stud engagement inspection
  • Sold in sets of 20
  • Lifetime warranty

Not at the moment, but if these sell well we will introduce locking lugs.

But the first time you need to take off a wheel and realize you left your socket key at home or lost it, you will wish you didn't have locking lugs, haha.

Very pretty. +1 to locking lugs (i leave it in my car hidden), and what about a chrome option? is that possible? I feel like the cheap chrome lugs always rust

As far as I know there is no way to do a hard anodized coating that looks like chrome. As you mentioned, whenever chrome gets nicked or scratched the steel underneath it rusts as well.

We are however working on some titanium lug nuts!

We don't have any 1/2" thread lug nuts at the moment, but if we add them in the future we could accommodate you.

I second the need for 1/2" versions. Lots of upgraded rear ends with 1/2" screw-in wheel studs out there.

This will also open up the market to all the older cars with upgraded wheel studs too. I always upgrade my older cars (and trucks) that came with 7/16" factory wheel studs to 1/2".

Yes, and nowadays locking lugs do not even slow down bumbling, 'amateur' lowlife, crackhead, thieves who really wants your expensive, purdy, chromey-homey wheels!

IF they want them that badly, they WILL get them, just try to stay out of the areas they are likely to get 'boosted' by the Gs (or otherwise).

I feel the same way, honestly. I never park my car anyplace where someone might actually steal the wheels off my car, lol.

The aluminum alloy ones above look GREAT, and appear to be MUCH higher quality/strength than all of the ricey import ones out there on the market!

But DEFINITELY keep us posted on those titanium ones, as I for one would consider them, despite how exorbitantly they will inevitably have to be priced.

I think Ti lug nuts are ridiculously expensive as well, and we'd like to make something more reasonably priced. We think that by selling them ONLY directly to customers and not offering them through dealers, we can eliminate the dealer markup and sell a set of 20 for approximately $200, which is close to half of what all other Ti lug nuts on the market currently cost.

Any chance you're going to make these with a shank style end instead of acorn so I could get some for my race stars

We will consider it if there is enough interest. I'm taking notes of all of these requests and suggestions. Thanks!

Here's a video we made comparing the scratch resistance of our hard anodized lug nuts to standard anodized lug nuts:
