Too much $ for tires??

Too much $ for tires?? I recently ordered some BFG KDW in the 245/50zr16 and the place I went to wanted $400 for 2 tires and to put them on. Is that too much and do yall think I could find them cheaper??

Todd at discounttiredirect (a sponsor) has them for 147 per tire...

If you find somebody with a good deal, make sure they can actually get the tires. I was looking for them or the Goodyear GS-D3 about a month ago, and nobody seems to be able to get them in that size (245/50/16). Supposedly BFGoodrich and Goodyear aren't making them in that size right now or something...

.... maybe they only make them a few months out of the year? I would check another place cause that sounds a little fishy

I hear you. I called everyone around here, and nobody has the tires. Discounttiredirect and Tire rack also show they are out of them. I got two stories on it, one was they only make them during a certain period based on estimated sales, and they ran out. The other was that the 245/50/16 size is getting to be less popular and they are unavailable because the manufacturers are not making them in that size for now. So who knows whats up, I just know nobody seems to be able to get them in that size.
