Default 17x8's.....245/45/17.....what offset?

Bout to buy some new wheels for the SS as I sold my Z06's. Looking to lighten it up some and run 17x8's in the front with a 245/45 tire. What offset would set the wheel out perfect with the smaller tire. Don't want it to sink in due to the narrow tire and wheel combo. Looking at a 45mm offset, but would like to get some opinions. Backs are easy.....17x11 50mm offset with Nitto DR's!

Hey John who did you sell the Z06's to? I just bought some new wheels today and need some 18" tires. Did you sell the tires also? If not I might get them from you.

I think 45 will look fine. But I'd try to go lower (below 40) if possible. What are your options?

I'm having them made from Boyd Coddington so I can go with any offset I like. Thanks

Yeah well, then I'd go with like a 36mm offset so the wheel will be flush with the fender. My 17x9.5" wheels up front are 38mm and they kinda tuck into the wheel well too much for my taste.

A friend of mine had Smoothies on a 38 and they stuck out too far. Alot more than yours. I'll take the middle and do 42's!

There is NO WAY those are 38mm . . . . honestly never heard of a 17" x 9.5" ZR1 replica with that offset.

My FIKSEs are 38 mm offset ... PERFECT!

Look at the offset on these wheels on ebay. I bought these same exact wheels from this same exact company.
