Default MT ET Street Radials, Tread life?

Im thinking about getting some MT ET Street radials for my stock rims 255/50/16, and just running these until i can get around to buying new rims, So im just wondering what kinda tread life are people getting out of these? 6-8k miles or possibly more? Thanks. I figure if they will last me over 6k miles(2months) then it will be worth it.

The tires are pretty new so no one really knows. They are a REALLY soft compound I would say around 6k but that depends alot on how you drive also.

If this is your daily....dont expect to drive over 40mph on the highway in the rain

Well here is my story. They dont last long that is for sure. I have about 2k or more on mine. And they are down to the indicators.(this includes track passes and street races) Still plenty of rubber on them for racing. I drove mine on the street for a while and I have a spool. I think backing in and out of the parking lot at work and driveway at home is most of the wear. LOL The spool dont treat the tires nice. You cold get 6k out of them IMO if you dont have a spool and dont do burnouts. But they are ment for the track just like a slick. And will wear accordingly. They might be in the drag radial class but not a good tire to comare to another drag radial as far as wear is concerned. So for racers wanting to run a drag radial they kick ***, or racers not wanting the sway of a slick. But for daily use...I thought I was hard core(daily driver with a cage, TH400, and spool) and would drive the crap out of them, and soon bought some more street rubber to get more life out of a tire.

Well, i dont have a spool. Im also thinking about finding 2 more snoflake ugly stock rims that my car came with and putting them on there, thay way im only running the MTs on the weekend. And always have matching rims. I did pick them up today, but waiting to put them on still.

And Tim, nice color Z, mines the same, is yours a painted slick top? Thats one main reason i bought this one, had less than 16k when i bought it a couple months ago, and it has the same color roof.

Painted slick top? Well it's a black hardtop. If that's what you mean?? I'm thinking you mean blue roof also. Nope that would be nice looking!
