tirerack did a test on the KD and MX's (not user reviews, actual test) long story short, the KD's edged the MX's out in the dry traction, but the MX's were better for wet traction. And it rains alot in Oregon.
MX's are about like $170? for per 275's..
Based on that, my next set is going to be MX's..

I have the MXs on the rear of my car. I am not that impressed, I didnt think they were any better than the stock tires.
At first they were much better than the worn out stock tires, but after the MXs were also worn out I put a set of stockers (off a friend's totaled car), and his stockers performed just as well.
My current opinion is nitto drag radials in all corners is the only way to go. The treadwear isnt that much worse than the MX, and the traction in both wet and dry is much better.
A good deal more road noise because of the rocks sticking to the rubber though.

I just had some Ecsta Mx's installed in the front. It was raining like hell outside, and they felt prety good for a tire thats supposed to be mostly for dry weather. Cant comment on how they hook though, because they aren't in the back. The installer recommended that I put them in the back, because my Nittos look prety worn, but I will just put Nittos back there.

W=Wet
S=Snow
KD is high performance dry
KDW is high performance dry and wet
KDWS is all season snow tire.

They are truly superior. On all 4 corners you will be able to corner, brake and accelerate like you never have before. Just incredible. They're a true R compound and so far I have gotten about 5K from my 315 rears. They are loosing tread in the middle, but still grip well in the rain. The fronts are still going strong, maybe get 10K out of them. I can pretty much out brake everybody.
