If you are getting these tires for straight line use,,, you will be happier with a set of drag radials. I had a set of BFG R1 335s under my car and straight line traction was terrible but,,,,, the tires were too large for the wheels {10.5s}. Most 335s require at least a 11.5 inch wheel. I still think that even if the tires were on the correct size wheels, traction still wouldn't have been as good as BFGs.

A 335 on a 11 inch wheel still won't work very well although, Kumho does list the minimum wheel width as 11 inches {I think}.
BFG no longer makes the R1. If you are dead set on 335s, Kumho makes a 335 in their Ecsta V700 line. They might have it in their V710 line also. Check out Tire Rack's website, up at the top there is astatement saying something like "Search by tire size. Just type in 335/35/17 and you will be able to pull up what they have. Tire Rack does not carry Nitto though, which they would.

I originally ran the BFG R1 3 years ago on my 17x11's and then after that I have been running Dunlop SP8000's.

i dont have a 11" rim i have a 12" rim im not sure what judd is referring to.im just looking for a decent tire for traction to try to hook up 700hp on a roll . i know anything except a slick wont hook from a dead stop . im just looking for the best bet in a 335/35/17 . i wish they made the nitto drag radials that size.

Look at Kumho road race tires. Thats probably as good as you're going to get for a street tire. If you're looking for straight line only I'd get another set of wheels and ET streets.

I think that Orange Krush is on the right track though, a drag style tire is your best bet. Maybe the new MT drag radials have a size that would work well. I honestly don't think that you will feel a bit of difference between a 335 and a 315 in straight line performance, but since you do have 17X12s; go ahead and try the Kumho 335s out. I'm running 315/35/17 Kumho Ecsta V700 on all four corners right now. Straight line traction isn't too awfull bad but I have about 400 RWHP, nothing like what you have.
BTW, do you have mini tubs or have you done some small fenders flares in order to fit the 17X12s? Throw some pics up when you get those 335s mounted up. I've entertained the thought of widening my 17X10.5s an inch or so and throwing the 335s on the rear but the thought of flaring the fenders has kept a damper on the idea. Kudos on getting that much tire back there on the correct size wheels,
