18/12 z06 wheels question.
I have seen a few corvettes with 18/12 zo6 wheels and was wondering who sells them. I want to see what the specs are to see if they would fit my car. If any body has any info on the wheels i would appreciate it. Thanks.

I've done it. But be forewarned, you care about your car then don't do it. What I mean is I had to cut most of the inner fenderwells out as well as cut slits in the upper fenderwell to pound in with a BFH to make more room during wheel travel. Also they sit against the LCAs and I had to cut them up too. So as you can see....I'm sure i've compromised the structural integrity of the car somewhat. But I was willing to go to any length to fit them. Also, they rub the upper outer fender lip so I will have to rent a fender roller to roll the fenders. I'm going to attempt to lower it this summer but don't know if it is realisticly possible or not yet. They look killer and get loads of attention from them everywhere. I catch vette guys comin over and checkin em out all the time. Overall, not something I'd recommend to an fbody enthusiast.

Yeah i got the deminsions on the wheels last night and checked them to the car and you are right, a lot of sheetmetal must be removed to run that wheel. I really didnt want to cut the car at all so after seeing what needs to be done i think that im going to scratch that idea and keep my 18x10.5 zo6's. Im running a 295 kumho tire which is pretty wide but i could actually probably run a 305 or even at the most a 315 tire and still look good. Anyways if you have pics of your car post them because i would really like to see how badass it looks. Once again thanks for the info guys.

True they do fit on the 10.5s but at a disadvantage. I've seen the 335s on 10.5 wide rims and they have almost a round appearance...they bulge out from the rim and the contact patch is dangerously reduced. After all..the michelin pilot 335s are 13.5 in wide...they aren't when put on a 10.5 rim......you may be able to pop them on a 10.5 rim but when it comes down to it, it's the wrong size tire for the rim.

I would like to run a 335 tire but i really dont like the tires when they bulge out like that. Im running 295 tires on them now and the tire is flush with the edge of the wheel which looks pretty good to me. I was just wanting to run the wider wheels so i could get a bigger contact patch on the road. I was going to put the 10.5's in the front and the 12's in the back if it was goin to work out. I also do the autox so this would have been a good setup IMO. But thanks for the info guys.
