Default Will 98 Vette Wheels/Tires Fit

Hi

Can anyone tell me if the 1998 original vette mag wheels with F1 run flats fit on my 98 Camaro?

I do not know for shure but I beleive they are 17 x 8.5 (with P245/45ZR17) and 18 x 9.5 (P275/40ZR18). Also, can anyone confirm these sizes?

Thanks JA

I have the chrome ones on my Z28. Yeah they will fit. I like the 17-18 wheel combination.

The wheels fit but the tires are highly recommended not to be used due to the different overall diameters of the tire . . . your ABS will not be happy.

I did not think the difference was that big:

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
275/40-17 4.3in 12.8in 25.7in 80.6in 786 0.0%
245/45-17 4.3in 12.8in 25.7in 80.7in 785 0.1%

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
275/40-17 4.3in 12.8in 25.7in 80.6in 786 0.0%
275/40-18 4.3in 13.3in 26.7in 83.8in 756 3.9%

But there does seem to be alternatives for the rear tire that are closer than 3.9%:

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
275/40-17 4.3in 12.8in 25.7in 80.6in 786 0.0%
275/35-18 3.8in 12.8in 25.6in 80.4in 788 -0.3%

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
275/40-17 4.3in 12.8in 25.7in 80.6in 786 0.0%
285/35-18 3.9in 12.9in 25.9in 81.2in 780 0.8%

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
275/40-17 4.3in 12.8in 25.7in 80.6in 786 0.0%
295/35-18 4.1in 13.1in 26.1in 82.1in 772 1.8%

There is a overall diameter difference of 1" . . . . to the ABS computer that is A LOT . .

This is the problem:

245/45-17 = 25.7in diameter
275/40-18 = 26.7in diameter

Hi

Thanks I did not think of the ABS. This makes them less attractive as it will be difficult to get rubber with equivalent diameters.
