Default Avon or Pirelli?

Lookin for some good gripping tires but not too expensive. Am looking at tirerack.com right now and i see Avon 550 A/S for $127 and all the ratings are VERY good on them, they even beat the other ones i'm looking at which are the Pirelli PZero Nero M&S for $148. What do you all think? Anyone have either of these? The sizes are 275/40WR17. I haven't heard of Avon before but i was hoping some of you all have! Thanks.

Do you really want something on your car with the name Avon, lol. I have heard many good reviews on these and plan on ordering some for the front. Fuzion ZRi

Here are the tirerack surveys for summer and all season

Thanks guys, and also, i have the Fuzion ZRi's on right now but those two tires that i selected for this have better ratings and both longer tread life. The Fuizon's are ok but i was looking for a better performer and something that gripped more and these two seemed like good choices.

I'm liking my firehawk wide ovals! In the same price range, though looks like you want an all-season tire.

All season is alright but i'm not driving my car in the winter so just something for good traction but good tread life too.

What he said^ I'm running some Pirelli P7000 SuperSports now. They're hella narrow. I have OEM wheels and don't like the look.

I have Avons on the front. Avon Tyres has been in the European racing industry for quite a few years. They are just getting into the US market, but the tires are awesome. The price is right and they stick well. I had them in Germany on the autobahn and they've sustained speeds in excess of 165 MPH without a hitch.
