Are you using any spray on wheel cleaners? Are you using any chemicals other than car wash soap? Are you rinsing them off thoroughly and then drying them before water spots can set in?

If you removed all of the problems and had them looking good but then they came back, there is a problem in your process somewhere.

hmmm...I use the Heavy Metal polish, and I don't have the staining problem you seem to have... Like 'Sounds said what are you using to wash the car?

I didn't use any wheel cleaner just soap and water. Maybe I didn't dry them fast enough.

Yeah, most car soaps have some oils in them for lubrication. It could be that the oils dried on the wheels or maybe you have REALLY hard water and those streaks are kind of like water spots. Do the streaks wipe off with a rag and some water or do you have to use polish to get them back out? You could also try some vinegar instead of water, that would remove hard water stains.

Actually, I'm not sure if vinegar would have any negative effects on the surface so use it with caution!

Nah they don't wipe off. I would have to polish them again.

Hard water spots won't just wipe off either... you might have to use Lime Away or vinegar or something. Metal Polish would also take this off though.

maybe after you wash and polish them up you could put a good coat of wax on them. I used to do that all the time after I would polish up the wheels really well.

Yup, those are hard water deposits.. We're plagued with really hard water at my place, and having black cars doesn't help matters either I've got to dry the car QUICK or I have friggin' bulletproof water spots...

Default sounds stupid but...

I hope I'm not stepping on anyones toes by this being my first post. But, I also have VERY hard water and two dark colored cars and I have found that the Mr. Clean Filter Washer thing does wonders for knocking out water spots. You dont have to use the soap if you dont want(I dont) but definately at the end for the final rinse use the filtered setting, and go over the car real slow and make sure all the water is sheeting off. You will however still have to chamois off the remaining water, but its alot easier with the softer water from the filter!!!

Again my $.02

I did that after I put HM on them the first time. I think that's why its lasted 2 weeks but as soon as I washed it, right back.

I bet the hard water will leave spots on top of Zoopseal also. I think the Mr. Clean filter might be a solution if it is indeed water spots, and it's much cheaper than the Culligan man!

I have grest results using my Mr. Clean Autowash thingy on my Smoothie II rims....Just have to make sure you get them dried completely or they will spot...A tip to help ease the pain of polishing would be to get the Mother's Powerball....

Yeah I bet you are right. The spots will be left regardless unless it is dried off quick.
