The "best" offset for a 9.5" wide wheel if you want the wheel to fill the wheel well, is 38 - 40 millimeters

I see you have a 2000 camaro. Any idea what the stock backspacing is on 17in ss wheels. I want to get something as close to that as possible. And if i read correctly stock ss wheels are only 17x9in? Thanks again for the help. I am keeping my suspension stock on my 94 Z28.

Back space is in inches . . . Offset is in mm.

I typically quote offsets, since BS for differeent rims can actually change with the identical offset, due to the thickness of the bead lips.

Many ZR-1's OEM and replica come with on offset between 50 and 56 mm . . .

I had a set of ZR1 replicas (9.5x17 56MM) on my 96 with 285/40/17 KDWS. They fit fine,no problrms. Put them on my 2002. Still no problems..
