Default Wheel spacers bad for supsension??

this may not be the correct fourm to ask in because i have a 1985 firebird but i would like to know if wheel spacers are bad for the suspension of the car and barrings, i have a 4th gen rear end in my car so its just the front that i have to worry about. the front tires are 17x8.5 c5 zo6 rims and i will be needing a 2 inch spacer. im going with skulte spacers if i do go with them they are by far the best ones made. thanks.

A 2 inch spacer!?

I'm scared. Yes it will put more stress on the bearings but I'd be more concerned with the stress on the lugs.

Having a wheel spacer is kinda like trying to break a stick in half with your hands 1" apart compared to 1' apart. It puts a lot of stress on the rear end. I would not recommend it.

the skulte ones will do no harm whatso ever to your suspension....you will be just fine....

what he is using is a spacer/adapter....it bolts to the hub and has studs for the wheel to bolt too...

Doesn't having a wheel adapter only on the front screw up the turning geometry?

If the front and rear rims have the same offset but the front hub has effectively moved an inch outward, the tires wouldn't be lined up anymore right? ...kind of like mixing offsets.

Wouldn't it affect how the car drives in a straight line over uneven surfaces?

Look at how stupid the front wheels on dually trucks look. They do that because the hubs have to be lined up correctly.

I'm not trying to say it will be the end of world or anything but I think it wouldn't be just right and the car might do subtle weird stuff when changing lanes on the highway and stuff. JMHO
