Default Would a 255/50/16 look good?

I'm thinking about putting these on the back and leaving the stock size fronts. I know alot of people like keeping all four the same size, but they're the stock wheels and I think it would help fill out the wheel well a bit.

That's what I run for my drag setup. 245/50's up front and 255/50 MT's on back on 16x8 ZR1 wheels.

Why bother...keep them all the same size, you'll never notice the difference.

With the MT DR's there's a NOTICEABLE difference in size from front to rear both on and off the car, 245 front vs 255 rear.

But only then....if he sticks with the same tire, you won't be able to tell unless you measure.

I'm not doing it for looks alone, but for a little better traction. I don't need DR's just yet and figure the slightly wider tire won't hurt. I was wondering if it would indeed be noticeable, and if so will it look bad.

I thought I would get more traction too! My car came with 235/55/16s from the factory with the normal 16 x 8" wheels. When those were gone, I went to 255/50/16, Falken Ziex 502s I think. Anyhow...even when only running 26 psi, the center of those tires wore very fast because the tire seemed a bit too big for the stock wheel. The tire was basically squeezed onto the rim causing the center to bulge out which resulted in less traction than the 235's and most importantly, very fast and uneven tire wear that was focused on the center 1/3 of the tire. It didn't make the car look any better either, so I just went out and bought a set of 10 spoke SS wheels, followed by what I have now.

Don't hope to gain traction by just going to a mildly bigger tire, the type of tire makes way more of a difference than a small increase in size.
