Question When did Fikse FM5s come out?

I remember seeing them in the mid 1990s on a lot of LPE Vettes the magazines tested, how ever I recently found a April 1993 copy of Automobile magazine, has a red 93 like mine on the cover, well thumbing through the pages low and behold a red 93 C4 Vette at an auto show from ASC with a "roadster" body package and its sitting on what look to be a set of Fikse FM5s. This kinda makes me wonder, so when exactly did FM5s debut?

i would say they came out in the late 80's, seems to be more of like a porsche type wheel, for the older high end porsches... my guess would be late 80's very early 90's

I saw them in the early 90's. They haven't changed much either. They still have the antique looking stepped lips, similar to TT2's. I wish they would get rid of those and use a soft lip style hoop.

Make money they do! Call and ask them what year they came out, extremely friendly folks to work with and talk with.

The lip aside the thing that gets me is they are still around after so long and still cost what they do but still look good. Now the have the Profil series out and those look killer, but classic Fikse line still looks really really good, not horribly out dated like a set of HREs would from a similar vintage. I saw a set of HREs on a 95 TA, musta been put on when the car was new and they just looked so old, but the same car with an FM5 wouldnt.
