315 nitto vs 315 bfg
Well my 17x11 ZR1's should be coming tomarrow, now I just have to pick a tire. I daily drive my car, so I'm leaning pretty heavy towards the 315 nitto's, but with 500rwhp I won't be able to spray until 2nd gear on the nitto's. How much better do the BFG's hook, and how long do they compare to the nitto's? And are the BFG's even driveable in the rain, because if they aren't I'll go with the nitto's right there.

With 500rwhp and especially on the bottle... its not gonna matter on the street, unless you plan on doing a nice fatty burnout to get them hot and sticky first. If thats case then the BFG will be better.
From what Ive read BFGs + rain = guard rail. Ive driven on my Nittos in bad rain and didnt have and problems.
For your situation... get the Nittos but keep in mind the 315 Nittos are a lot less wide then the BFG 315s. Might consider sizing up the Nittos.

I just put a set of 315 BFG's on my car last week, put around 300 miles on them this weekend going to Chattanooga and the **** are still on the tires. They look mean as hell too, nice and wide. I couldn't tell you about the rain as I haven't driven my car in it yet but they handle really good, definately a big improvement over the stock 245's. So far I'm happy, they should last me until the middle of next summer.

I've run all three tires in question.
Nittos traction is decent at the track, but bfg is better, et street is even better. I've driven in the rain doing about 45mph on Nittos, 45 on the bfg's, never on et streets. The difference was with Nittos, the car wasn't squirrly like with the bfg's.
I wouldn't daily drive on et streets. They can get hard from daily driving and will wear out hella quick. I got 5,000 miles out of some bfgs and about 10,000 out of nittos. This was a car that only saw the track a few times a summer.

Nittos 8,000 to 10,000 miles
BFG 4,000-5,000 miles
That is just a rough estimate depending on your foot and how you drive. Also I have ran 4 sets of Nitto's and have the 315/35/17 on a 17X10 wheel and cut 1.7-1.8 60's and at worse 2.0 60 foots.
Also the Nitto is a VR rated tire and does great in hard corners and also in the rain.
