Who makes the best 275/40ZR18 tires for C5 wheels? I had Toyo Proxes which tought were pretty good but one of them went to hell so im thinking about replacing both back tires instead.

Never had these tires. I do know that it does not get any better than the tires I mentioned above.

What is the application? Are you looking for an max performance tire for the street? Or an all season tire with good performance as well? Those are some of the questions you need to ask yourself first. However, I do agree that, although the PS2s are pricey, the are the best tire out there save for some of the drag radials, but the drag radials, in my opinion should only be used on the strip. Holler at some of the guys at Discount Tire and see what they think (sorry, but that was a lame plug).

I wouldn't go with 275/40/18s...I would go with 275/35/18s The 40 series tire is too tall at 26.6" vs the 25.6" it's supposed to be. Not only will it look sorta dumb, but it will throw off your speedo some as well. Get the 275/35/18s

So the 40 tire is taller than the 35. And also would of that numerically lower my rear end gear ratio.
