well from what i've read, the bolt circle of 5x120 comes out to 4.72, our bolt circle is a 4.75, i cant imagine that to be a huge difference, and there are guys on here running them with no problem, so for the most part im not concerned

ok first off i had a set of HP racing wheels with the 5x120 fitment. first when i installed them, there was a ton of play when i put them on the studs. this worried me but i tried hard to center them and use acorn style lug nuts but no dice. still offcenter. imagine spinning a wheel from off center, it rotates in an elipse and the vibrations from your wheels spinning untrue is unbearable! i was instructed to use hub centering rings to center the wheel but the rings only make taking the wheel on and off harder and finding the right size is difficult and never perfect. granted, the exact hub centering ring would probably fix all problems associated with running BMW wheels, its almost impossible to get that perfect. this is because GM makes their wheels hub centric, rather then lug centric. another problem i ran into was the stress on the studs. my studs became stressed and not only messed up the threading, but they became bent and appeared as if they were breaking off. not a risk i'm willing to take. its a gamble, if you are willing to look for the correct hub centering ring, then a BMW wheel will look awesome. if not, be prepared for some nasty vibrations, annoying wheel changes, and possible stud failure.
i really wanted to get more in depth but my mind went blank. if you have any questions let me know. for the record, i sold those wheels a few months later because i couldnt deal with the stress anymore and the vibrations made the car unenjoyable. and you may think to yourself; "stress? is it really that serious?" yes it really is.

Wait, you said you want an 18. In the 18 they only have a 9" width.
