Default NEED HELP with Prostars I just tried to put on

just got my 15x10 and 15x4 Weld prostars and I even got the 5/16 spacers and yes the rims are 7.5 Back Spacing and they seem to fit fine in the rear (haven't tried the front yet) but as soon as I start tightening the lugs down they are hitting the rim and wont move. I tried a search on the calipar grinding stuff but it looks like everyone is having problems with the clearance between the face of the calipar but I seem to be fine there......any ideas?

Are you using a shank-style lugnut?

They rub in the front (outside) and rear (inside) Put some lube grease on the rim and spin it by hand. The grease will stick to the caliper where its touching.

Are you still using stock wheel studs??? The reason i ask is using a spacer with stock studs is asking for trouble.....
Seen them brake way to many times..... on the freeway...

With the rears you are going to have to grind.
Its quite a bit......
Your in for a treat grinding the fronts also with picking the 4" wide rims... the 15X4 fronts have to be ground down also even with running a spacer.

Just buy a grinder from walmart for $30 and some metal grinding wheels.... and take your time....

Gotta grind the rear calipers regardless. I wouldn't use a spacer on the rear.

Im trying to learn something myself. Youre saying 15x3.5 front with spacer no grinding but 15x4 with spacer will fit but needs grinded and clears the steering knuckle. How about 5 and 6 inch?? This is tough info to come bye!

i HAVE NO CLUE ABUT THE 5 AND 6" WIDE FRONTS.....

No matter what front or rear i wouldnt use a spacer...... its asking to brake the front stock studs.... Now with some ARP fronts i might think about it....

Yes the 15X4's require alot of grinding over the 15X3.5's..even with running a front spacer..... Now the 15X3.5's are not DOT legal either.....

Thanks except for one guy saying he thinks the 4" fronts hit the steering knuckle, you guys are the only ones that have used a size other than 3 1/2 on the front. I still need info on 5 and 6 inch Weld fronts, Im trying not to use 3 1/2 skinnies but want to match my rear wheels.

I've seen where one guy ran the 15x4s on his car. He had to grind his calipers down to practically nothing to fit them. I wouldn't even drive the car like that. He was looking for another set of calipers and was going to change wheels if I remember correctly.
