Do you want something to use on the street that will also work good on a road course... or strickly a road course tire?

I'd be interested in some street/road coarse tire opinions, not to hijack.

nitto makes an NT01 pretty good road course tire, also BFG just came out with the R1, pretty similar to the Hoosier auto x tires, falken has the azenis, what size you looking to run?

Road course only - Any road race slick...Hoosier "R" compounds work well.

Road Course/Street - BFG KD has great grip and will actually grip better as it heats up.

The main idea is to get a tire with a lot of lateral grip and a STIFF side wall. This is basically the opposite of a drag tire which has a soft side wall for grip in a straight line.

There are several "R" compound tires that are DOT approved and "can" be used on the street but they have pretty short lifespans

Nitto 555RII
Nitto NT-01
Kumho Ecsta V700
Toyo Ra-1
are a few..

Hoosier, BFG, Advan and Kumho all make great road race slicks that should not be used on the street. Hoosier is the favorite among those brands

There are also some street tires that offer great grip with better tread life, but will not perform as well as the true R compund tires

Kumho Ecsta MX
Falken RT-615
Goodyear F1 GS-D3
Michellin Pilot sport and PS2
are some of the favorites

if u are really lookin for race only tires, see if u can find some qualifying tires from a race team. tires that are 250 new are like 90 with like a lap or 2 on them.

search around on FRRAX
