Default lost locking lugnut socket. what should I do?

I lost the locking lugnuts socket.

I had the rear end of the car on stands recently to look into a noise problem. Well, I took the wheels off & put them back on. I ended up leaving the socket for the locking lugnuts on 1 of them and drove off.

I ordered the wheels & lugs from TomZWheels & I believe I got the standard lugs with locks. One of the reps there said if it were the Gorilla locks they could possibly get me another socket. But considering my purchase was the standard ones, they said they can't help me out?!!!!? So what happens when I have a flat alongside the highway and I can't get the wheel off the car? I guess I'm stuck there! How can I solve this problem?

This happened to my friend and he went to Discount and they "burned" it off or something. There is a way to get them off.

call a couple shops they can take it off without damaging your rim and next time you buy a set register your info with the company that way they can make you a replacement key for the lug if you loose your key somhow.

And then get a new set from Gorilla, they come with a sticker that has a registration number so if it happens again, you call them up, give them a number, and get a new key!

ive never "burned" off any lugs at discount tire, we usually use a set special sockets and hammer them and use the impact gun to break them off, time consuming but it can be done

Most tire shops have lockouts of all different patterns. I would go to one and see what they can do, it happen to me before. The place I went to a fairly small shop had the one that fit it.
Something like what ssilverssurfer said.

He probably meant torch it or something. I just know what the guy said, I figured he was the "pro".

lol the easiest way is to go to sears and get the "striped lugnut/locking lugnut removal sockets" my t/a came with locks but no keys, i bought the set (its three sockets that fit on a 1/2" ratchet/braker bar/impact wrench) it works like a charm, i got the old lugnuts off and it only cost me 27 or so dollars, and you can use it as many times as you want!!! (better than paying a shop)
hope this helps

I used an airchisel on my old car. proabably not something you would wanna do if you have nice wheels, but it worked very easily. Just use the chisel to turn the lock counter-clockwise.

I welded a nut to the edge of the socket (careful not to get splatter over the rims) and just used the proper socket and an impact to to get it off

There's a kit at pepboys that specially made for locking lugnuts. I think it slips on over it and as you try to get it off, it tightens down and pulls the lugnut off.
