TT2's out, what should I get?
So... here's my dilemma, I have 17x9.5's in the front 17x11's in the rear. I pretty much need new tires all around which will cost me about $600 - 700. Here in New Mexico, the weather plays a bad par in killing tires lol. I've had my rear sumitomo's, 315/35/17's for about 1 year and I need to replace them.
So do I want to spend $400 every year for new rear tires, or step down to smaller rims and get all around tires and only spend $400 - $500 every 3 years or so.
I'm REALLY liking these - American Racing Rogues
They come in 17x8 and 18x8.5. I'm thinking of wrapping them in BF Gforce T/A 245/45/17's but don't know how they'd look on my car. I have a 1993 T/A and as the picture shows, my front right rim has a *tiny* bit of lip damage.
(dont look at the key mark on my door!! its so awful )
Will these look good? bad? will offset have a bad effect on them? I don't want to spend a lot of money w/out knowing how it's going to look.

If I were you I would look at the american racing rebels, Z06's, ZR1's,or something besides that wheel, plus the ones I mentioned all come in black if your into that. I just don't like the wheel you posted at all. Also if you wore down the Sumitomos in a year I'm guessing you like to race or burnout alot. If thats the case, the rims you posted will not give you enough meat out back.
Off topic but where in NM are you at? I'm in Clovis.

Ya, I know I kind of need some rubber in the rears. I have a CC305 cam and SLP headers, engine work, and a few other things. I dont think 245's would be too good in the rear for all the torque. And I don't really drive a whole hell of a lot, HTRZ's only have a 180A tread rating lol
I've seen a LOT of Camaro's with Z06 chrom rims, but not too many TA's. Thinking that 17x9.5's with 245 in the front 275 in the rear is the best option for performance and not killing myself over price.

245 won't be good for a 9.5 wide tire. 245 is for 8-8.5 inch wide wheels. A 275 would suit you better and not break the bank. I got my BFG G-Force Sports for $120 from Discount Tire Direct and they are an awesome tire! Good wet and dry traction and I also have a cam and bolt-ons. If you PM me I can get you the guy's extension I talked to at Discount Tire Direct. He treated me really good and got me an awesome deal so I took his extension number down so I could keep dealing with him.

if your looking for cheap tires and good looks going to an 18" wheel is not the right course of action, tire for 18"s are so much higher then they are for 17"s. If your wanting a smaller width id be willing to trade you my 17x9.5 TT2's for your 11 inch wide ones not just straight up ofcourse.

I've had both and imo the TTII's are the cheaper wheels to own by far, tires are cheaper and if they get damaged you can repair them yourself. I Also had rebels before my TTII's, i liked them a lot on the car, more aggressive looking and definitely more unique, but the chrome cant be repaired unless you took them to get rechromed, the tires are expensive and theyre heavy as ****. It all depends on whether you have to money for the rebles or not haha

yeah zlover pretty much summed it up. I also think the TTIIs look a lot better. If you want smaller tires in the rear, just get the 17x9.5 TTIIs! The Torq Thrust series are the best looking wheels on an F-body.

Like i said, id be more then willing to trade for your 11's in the rear for my 9.5's. That would be the only way for you the really save money, going 18's is the wrong direction price wise
