Shipping wheels and tires, okay to let all the air out?
I have a sale pending for my stock 16's w/tires, and I'm going to have to ship them. I was thinking I could pull the valve stems out to let all the air out, so they are lighter and cut down on shipping cost.
Stupid question, but will this affect the balance of the tires once the buyer recieves them and inflates them? If not, how much air can I let out? I mean I just don't want for him to have to pay to have the tires mounted and balanced again.

Ship them as is, when i did it i used "fedex express home delivery" it cost me 18-22 bucks a piece to ship a set of wheels/tires to Alabama from Texas. Each shipped seperately and the only packing i did was put cardboard over the front and rear of the wheel and wrapped them in plastic wrap several times. Made it there safely and in only 4 days.
Just an idea.
