Default M/T ET Radials vs. Nitto NT01 (P315/35R17)

I want a good all round tire i can use on the street as well as the strip. I have 3.73 gears and 415rwhp i am thinking of going with either of these tires but not sure which is the better option(dry pavement). Any one have experiance with either?

First off comparing those two tires would be like comparing you racing a tractor.. I had Eagle F1s on my car then went to Kuhmo excta mx's and that was a night and day difference. Granted i have the factory 275 40 17 wheels on. Out of your two choices the Mickey Thompsons would be ALOT better for dry traction, but not so good for rain. Personally I would get either BF Goodrich Geforce KD's or Kuhmo Excta MX tires. Just my .02 tho

Good news about the new MT 315 radials is that they're a new tread pattern design that looks to be more water friendly, and they're a little harder rubber so they'll probably last a little longer than the other tires of that line.

If you're looking for a stickier tire that you can drive on alot, go with a 315 nitto DR

k so i found some tires i like but i need some experiance. Here is the tire combo i am thinking: Nitto NT01 275/40R17 in the front with M/T ET 315/35R17 in the rear. Or i could go with Nitto all around. All on 17" torque thrust II's sitting under a 93 black z28.

Are you talking about the stock F1's that came with our cars or the F1 GS-D3's. Completely different tires. The regular F1's are junk.

I changed the title that was a dumb comparison but i am wondering if the Nitto NT01 will hook up well or if the new mickey thompson DR's are better.

The NT01's are road racing tires not drag radials....

so i guess:
nitto NT01 = no hook up but good cornering and everyday use.(auto x).
m/t dr = good hook up descent for dry roads (drag)

Any thoughts on the Nitto NT 555R Drag Radial?
