Default Nitto 555r's & Mileage

I'm looking for some real world experience on this. How many miles are you guys getting out of your Nitto 555r drag tires for daily use?

The reason I ask is I have ran BFG DR's for the last year... great tire, hooks well but it's getting to the point where I can't afford to buy a new set every 5-7 months cuz I get 5-6k miles out of them. Of course I'll be losing traction with going with the Nittos but if they last twice as long it's worth it IMO.

Going from a 275/35/18 BFG DR to a 285/35/18 Nitto... I wonder if the Nittos will still be narrower than the BFG's?

I have just over 14k on mine and I have been driving 1k on borrowed time. I have only done a few durnouts (track) and drive about 50/50 with the car. I have also taken alot of longer trips(+50 Miles) on these tires. For the most part I really liked them. I'm geting different tires as i'm getting different rims.

So far from what you guys say I'll get more miles out of the, it's a done deal... Nitto 555r's it is. I had them befor for track use on my stock wheels, I didn't really care for them since they sucked ***** when cold. Though it's about money and with how much driving I have been doing these seem to be the way to go.

Brother IMO these are some of the best DD tires... I have approx. 15K on mine.. and they are not showing much wear @ all... the secret you ask?

rotating, maintaining proper air pressure.. Trust me these are great tires..

I switched from the GSD3's... Way more money, nowhere near the wear,mileage..

JMO...FWIW..

i put about 8-9k on my 315/35R17 and I took them to the track once and I didn't do any real burnouts with them.

I bought the ET Street radials for $10 less a tire from LS1 Speed and I love them compared to the Nittos. They hook better.
