Default 17in and 18in tire sizes

Im about to pickup some vette 17's and 18's, I know I need a 275/40/17 up front but what about the back? iv heard 275/35/18? is there a smaller size I can run on the front for as little less friction on the street. Thanks

P.S I did a small search but Im at work and im not supposed to be on the computer so if you can help me out id appreciate it

I have the same wheels and I am currently running 295/40/18's in the rear and 245/40/17's in the front and they work great..

decent tire size but i'd get 275/35/18 up front and 295/35/18's out back. that what i used to have on my vette rims

maybe it was just the tires, but i had 245's on the front of my car before and I didn't like it... I would try something a little wider... I like my 275's but I think I would go minimum 255's.

Assuming the width of those rims are both 9.5. Then yes a 275/40/17 up front and 275/35/18 rear will work fine.

For the back u should do 285/35/18's. With 295's although wider U will have to do a minor BFH mod. But if that dont bother u go 295/35/18. Up front U can go 245 255 265 or 275/40/17. But since ur going for less fricton (for some reason) Then go with 255/40/17's.

I think he means a lower rolling resistance rather than lower friction.

is there any way to put a 315/35 on a 10.5 wheel or do they not make that combo in 18?

they do not make a 315/35 18 or i would be all over it. They do make a 315/30 18 that i posted up on sale right now with $308 in saving for rear wheels this size is good for 18x10.5 and 18x11s

https://ls1tech.com/forums/wheels-tires/863597-killer-deal-315-30r18-s.html same price as 295/35s so better hurry. You can only run those if you have 18x10.5/11's
