Default Thinking about Summit Prostars aka Summit stars

I'm thinking about getting a set of these for my car.

Now I know i have to run 15x8 and 15x4.

My question is, if I want to run regular radial tires, which sizes should I go with? I will possible order a second set later to put some M/T's on. But for now I just want to use regular street tires.

Also, I know I will have to grind the calipers, but would I need to run any spacers up front?

Thanks guys

Yes on the front spacers.. probably just a 1/4" or grind the calipers but I'm weary of grinding the fronts. You can run regular street tires on the rear with no problems. size would only be limited by width (275 at the widest) and overall diameter around 26"-27". like a 255/60 is I think the only size that would be close but I'm not totally sure. Fronts the wheels are so skinny your only options are drag front runners or some skinny radials.. not sure what radials guys are running as front runners.. I stick to the MT 8 ply Sportsman fronts on mine.

I dont mind griding down the calipers. I can always paint over them.

I was thinking of 185/70/15 and 265/50/15. But would 185's fit on the fronts being they are 15x4?

i didn't run any kind of spacer, just grinded what needed to be grinded, i did it with the tires off the rim...you can see better...then when i got it grinded enough i went and got the tires mounted, i think tirerack.com has the 165-80-15 kumho for the front, not sure on the 185-70-15 but they should fit

No spacers here. And only ground a little on the driver side rear... No rubbin at all.

Pics of mine are a few posts down..
