TT2 re-polish
Has anyone re-polished their wheels before??
Also there is clear coat on the rims so can I do that myself or is it best to have a shop Re-do the work?
What is the best polish to use?
Is there a write-up of what to use?

Did you get them painted or powdercoated? If a previous owner did the wheels I'd ask him if the lips were clearcoated. IMO you don't need a powerball for just the lip part, thats the easiest part to polish up! Just get some aluminum polish and go to work rubbing it on the metal till it turns black then rub off the excess.

Still wondering why one wheel is chipping by the tip of the lip if they are not clear coated?

I just got done repolishing mine after a winter season full of salt on the road. Mothers Powerball sucks ***, just use good ole fashion elbow grease. I sanded mine using 400 grit than 1000 grit than 2000 grit. After that I used Mothers aluminum paste polish and than after that I used Master Formula Metal Gloss than Master Formula Sealer Gloss. I'll post pics of the before and after and post them when I get home. They turned out real nice and cant wait to mount them on again.
