Default New to tires...qwik question

I just purchsed 2 new tires for my worn rear ones. My front's are good, should I put the older front one's on the back, or leave em and put the new ones on the rear???

The new ones are a different make then the fronts, but same size.

Will I run into any driveability probs???

Thx

not always. if you daily drive your car you may want the newer tires up front. this way if the worn down tires are going to loss grip, like in the rain, youll still be able to steer the car with newer, deep tread tires up front.

wrong

you always, always, always, always, always, always, always want your newer tires in the rear. understeer can be corrected for much, much easier than oversteer in slick situations.

newer tires on the ones providing the power usually. bald tires tend to put you in those oversteer conditions (well really your right foot would).

Always put your new tires wherever your power goes to. RWD - Rear FWD - Front

Actually if you wanted to you could say it a few more times, here let me help you.....WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG. Feel better?

I have changed tires on cars for over 8 years and have always put the newer tires on whatever wheels get the power. RWD rear, FWD front.

Think what you want.

i dont really care how long you've changed tires, all that says is that you've been doing it wrong for eight years. you may wanna look for a new line of work.

there is no thinking what you want here, it has been researched and proven. all this research came about as a result of the Tread Act and various lawsuits where tire manufactures and large tire retailers were getting slammed by lawsuits for installing new tires incorrectly (such as dropping load ratings, mixing speed ratings, changing to unapproved sizes, and installing tires on the wrong axles) which put vehicles in an unsafe condition. if you've been installing tires for eight years you should know this.

i guess those guys at michelin are just plain dumb. or maybe those ford taurus's have been converted to rear wheel drive. . .
