Default Best hooking tire (for badly prepped tracks)?

I'm thinking of 28x13.5-15 ET Street, but maybe there's stickier tire? ET Drags maybe? Hooking is always a problem at my tracks (not only for me).
What would you advice?

edit: manual tranny

I would say a DR for a unprepped track. A lil bit of groove to move the dirt/debris is good. A slick is going to just slip, like it's on water.

A M/T ET radial w/ VHT can hook on a street w/o rubber. I have seen it multiple times.

Hmm, I really want softness, so I don't want radials. And from what I read, radials are not very good for manual cars

I disagree completley, radials have improved greatly lately. Some of the fastest cars, both stick and auto, are on radials. I've even seen stick cars with modest horsepower levels (~500) go deep in the 1.5's in the 60'

well from what I read at least 80% agree that wrinkle-wall slick is better for manual cars for most traction.

So I'm choosing really between ET street (28x12.50 or 28x13.50) and ET Drags (28x11.50 or 28x10.50W).

Yeah but you are talking about an unprepped surface. Those people are more than likely speaking from experience on a well prepped surface.

But it sounds like you already made upi your mind, so go with the slick. So what happens.

I agree with you that some tread would help to move dust. But I meant a bit different thing - not so much that the are debris on the track, but the fact that pavement is very bad. It's even not perfectly flat. Does it make any sense?
So, I believe tread wouldn't help, but maximally soft sidewall+compound would.

Here's a pic of the surface we have (ignore the guy )

And here's nice pic of my wheel wrinkling during burnout

As you can see, surface is very "grainy"

325 ET Street Drag Radials. I cut 1.40's on street car days at the track.
