New 18x12 335/30/18 and 18x8 on my car
Ok picked up my new rims and tires today and all I can say is WOW talk about HUGE!!!!
Now I have good news and bad news, first the good, the old front rims and tires weighed in at 49.8 pounds each and were 26 inches tall the new rims with same brand of tire weigh in at 41.4 pounds each nice weight savings of 8.4 pounds off each of the front and are 25.7 inches tall. So I lose a little height, should still look the same less than half an inch. But the rim itself looks the same size as an 18. Weird I know, its just the way it was designed you'll see what I mean by the pics below of the 18x10 and the new 18x12. Even side by side it looks like its an 18 and a 19, the new rims look bigger even from the side not just width. Now for the bad news the old rear rims and tires were 25.5 inches tall and weighed in at 56 pounds each and this is with no thread left. The new rims and tires even though the rim is a lighter the tire is heavier, ow well the new tire will also last longer and is alot cheaper. But they weigh in at 61 pounds each and are 25.9 inches tall so it will take up a bit more gap for me. Should even out pretty nicely in rotational mass cause I am have 3.5 inches taken off the axles and gun drilled as well as the weight savings off the housing as well.
Rear got done today and I installed it all worked great just hitting the lower control boxed control arms will put on the new madman ones when they get here on tues. But looks great tucks in beautifully
They look sweet as hell though may take a few more ponies to spin em but for the look and the width I dont mind.

OK heres the new pics wheels are on, car is lowered 3/4 in the front and 1 in in the rear I like the wheel well distance bout 1 3/4 in the front an 2 in back. I put on clearenced lower control arms giving me bout 1/2 in between the arm and the wheel, still gunna get the i bolt offset lower control arms but these will work fine till their ready. I massaged the wheels wells and did a bit of cutting an grinding and then I painted them with rust repellant and then overcoated them both with undercoating. Then last but not least I polished them with a new powerball love that thing

Body kit came on the car an I wasnt going to change it, damaging the paint underneath so looks fine to me at least time I get time to repaint the whole car LOL.
As for the rims they are Intros GT sport 3 piece polished forged aluminum.
I didnt have a choice on the rim sizes I got them from a guy on a local for sale forum. They were originally for a 69 camaro and he ended up with 20s in back and 19s in front. These were never used and sat there with brand new hoosier R tires. All together he paid 4800 for all the rims and tires and sold them new never used to me for 1500. I ended up taking off the tires and selling them for a grand and put on these tires. The fronts arent my taste size wise and I will end up getting a set of 18x9 for the front by next spring. But for now it looks fine and its a step in the right direction

The rear backspacing is 5.5 and the fronts are 4.5. I took off 3.5 off each side on my axle an looking back I could have gotten away with 3 on each side. I am gunna add a 1/4 spacer on each side to bring out the rears today to even them up with the fronts. The front tires were a set I had laying around that were practically brand new so used em to save the cost till I get the new front rims, 245/45/17s.
