Default Which 315 tire for the money?

Well, it's time to replace the ol' 315's AGAIN those Sumitomos are cheap but do they ever suck.

My dillemma is should i spend about $400 to put some BFG T/A KD 's on the rear that have a treadwear of about 200 as opposed to the $250 for another set of sumi's with treadwear of 160?

I'm going with Goodyear Eagle F1 275/40/17 all season on front unless anyone has any spectacular testimonies for the General Exclaim UHP tires.

Lemme hear what you think, that's why i posted.

Where are you finding the K/D's? I had them on my old blue car and I LOVED them. Great all around tire and tread wear wasn't bad at all, just fine in several down pours, and decent dry. They get my vote. I matched my front and rears w/K/D's.

well i thought the NITTO 315 were the best ones for the money as far as longevity and traction.

the KDs keep on popping up on ebay from time to time. I ordered a set that i have in storage about 4 months ago... i know they sold out in a few days with that batch...then again i saw the same guy selling another batch 2-3 weeks ago i think.

I'm looking forward to putting the KDs on the car to replace my Nitto555rs. I cant complain too much about the nittos other than how friggin skinny they are for a 315. I planned on getting some gs/d3s but goodyear cant get their **** together... its been just about a year i've been waiting on those.

yeah i found them on ebay bought a whole set 275/315's of the K/D's for $709 to my door. they are advertised as change overs but the guy said that the batch he had were brand new never mounted.

couldn't find nitto's on the tirerack. couldn't justify spending $300 a pop for goodyears b/c the rears never last anyway. ultimately i wanted to try something else, i hate sumi's b/c they never get good traction...ever

can't wait for em to get here then i can destroy what's left of the sumi's

i was looking for them vredestein's but they aren't easy to locate...a year ago they were everywhere and i was gonna get a set, but the sumi's came back on the tirerack so i got those instead . never again

anyway the K/D's are about a day away on a fedex truck i'm pumped to finally put a set of decent tires on it!

goodbye 10-bolt

wow... not sure why there is debate here... just get bfg dr's. 315's are only like $173/tire. and the treadwear really isn't bad as long as you aren't going around doing burnouts. **** i had some that had about 40% tread and i got about 10,000 miles out of them just by taking it easy.
