For some unknown reason to science, math, and man, Chevy has decided to put into production a truck shown off at SEMA. I’ll let you sit down before reading the rest of this.

Ready? Good, because we’re not. What you see before you is a customized Chevy Silverado that was tuned for SEMA called the Special Ops concept. It began its life as a Silveradao 1500 Z71, then received a three-tone camo paint called Razzle Dazzle, because that name screams special ops, a body colored grille with massive LED Light strips, more LEDs in the bed, five spoke 20-inch allow wheels, and flared fenders.

Chevrolet’s 2016 Silverado Special Ops concept is based on the Silverado 1500 Z71, which features a new front-end design and new technologies built into its strong, high strength steel body structure and fully boxed frame, and draws its design inspiration from naval design aesthetics. Inside the truck, the seats are called Ejector Orange, and the same Razzle Dazzle paint, again who thought up this name for a special ops truck, is continued throughout the cabin. The seats are also waterproof for when your friends pee themselves laughing as you tell them the name of the paint.

Chevy says it will build just a few of these Special Ops Edition Silverados but who knows, hopefully between now and whenever that production begins, they change the paint name, and the name of the truck. Because this is definitely not Special Ops.
