Sorry Camaro, Nitrous Ain’t Enough This Z06 Rhino

The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro has been received extremely well. Though it’s pretty much the same exact look, its performance is better in just about every possible way, and many think it’s much better than the new-generation Mustang (what else matters, really?). But, of course, because everything is always a competition, people are naturally going put the Camaro next to its big bro, the Corvette.

Two months ago, we posted about Hennessey Performance putting an SS on the dyno and comparing it to a stock C7 Stingray. Interestingly, the SS showed more power. The test in this video, however, is a little different. It’s a custom 2016 Camaro SS up against a custom C6 Corvette Z06

The SS has a 100 shot of nitrous, an aftermarket exhaust, and an ECU tune. The Vette has a massive intake and explains he set it up, “just the intake and exhaust, no mufflers, no cats.” That explains the magnificently chunky sound it makes. It also has a lightened flywheel with a twin disc from Monster.

Watch as these two battle it out from a rolling start on the open Mexico streets.
