Widebody Pro Touring 1965 Corvette Stingray Is Pure Performance And A Cool Story

By -

One look at this widebody Stingray and you know it means the biz. Just look at those wide fenders, slammed stance, 315s on all corners and that wickedly cool clear spoiler.

OK, so the 364 CI SBC isn’t an LS motor, but it still spins to 7400 RPM and makes 500 HP and 500 LB-FT. But as nasty as this Stringray might look, it’s the back story that really counts! This car was bought brand new back in 1965 and has been campaigned on autocross and road courses every year since then! In fact, owner and infamous Autocrosser, Brian Hobaugh and his family have owned it for 30 years as it’s been passed between three generations in the family.

Seriously, you need to watch this video. It’s a good one!
