This Fast and Furious Camaro SS is a Real Race Car

Yes, the rear wing looks like it belongs on a shopping cart. Yes, the black and orange paint job is horribly clashy. Yes, the rear fender wells look like the Camaro is lifting up it’s skirt. All these things are true. Why? Because it’s a race car.

This strange looking Camaro is being developed for the 2013 Superstars International Series, a touring car series based in Italy. Under hood is a 530 horsepower LS3 and… well, not much else. The point is to go fast around corners. You don’t really need a lot of stuff to do that.

Thankfully though, someone thought the extra weight of a GoPro wouldn’t kill it’s lap times. YouTuber NM2255 got a great, in-cabin view of what it’s like to lap Monza in an American race car.

I count this is as further proof that muscle cars are way cooler when they can turn.
