Hennessey Sends Supercharged Chevy SS Down Texas Toll Road

Because speeding on public roads with the permission of the police is awesome, Hennessey brought out their latest twin-turbo creation to the same Texas highway they just sent the Corvette flying down a few weeks ago. You probably know what to expect.

The HPE600 SS makes something like 600 horsepower, which is great, but the model they’re running is limited to 163 mph. I imagine without the limiter this thing could easily blow by that. People often say “the journey is more interesting than the destination” and I think that holds true in this case. Getting to 160mph is much more interesting than staying there.
