Holley LS Fest Takes Over Las Vegas Motor Speedway, April 26-29
No matter what sort of automotive action you’re into, there’s plenty of high-octane activities for members of the LS faithful.
It’s that time again. If you’re a member of the LS faithful – and if you’re reading this, we assume you are – they you better be packing your bags for Vegas. Holley LS Fest West is poised to take over Las Vegas Motor Speedway April 26th through the 28th.
There’s plenty of fun to have on the Las Vegas Strip, but true gearheads know all of the best action is at the track. You’ll find something for everyone at LS Fest West, from drifting to dyno runs to drag racing. There’s even a car show for the power-parking gang.
In addition to the standard burnout competition, there’s also a donut pit. Fans of precision maneuvers may be inclined to try their hand at autocross or the 3S Challenge – Speed, Stop & Steering. Think of the 3S Challenge as a combo meal featuring autocross and speed-stop competition combined into one great flavor.
Going for the Championship
Participants are encouraged to compete in multiple events. The best overall winner will be crowned Grand Champion of LS Fest West. There are prizes for all of the individual events, but the Grand Champion in each class will win $1,000, a plaque, and a cool jacket.
Event passes cost between $85 and $180, depending on which events you plan on entering. It’s in your best interest to plan ahead and order your tickets early. Some ticket packages are sold out, and prices for the remaining packages increase on April 19.
However, if you just want to go watch the action, spectator tickets are only $25 a day. Besides all of the on-track fun, there will be plenty to do and see. Hundreds of vendors will be in attendance, and you may even run into some of your favorite YouTube automotive personalities.
In addition, Sac Speed Shop will commandeer the Donut Pit each day for their “Up in Smoke” show. Killing tires never looked so good. There will also be an off-road course set up for fans who like to play in the dirt with their LS-powered machines.
If you’re an LS fan, you know a thing or two about speed. It goes without saying that you should act fast if you don’t want to miss this event.
