Liberty Walk C8 Corvette at SEMA Turns Heads

A faded fighter jet wrap on this “LB-R Fighters Works” Liberty Walk C8 Corvette is equal parts striking, and WIDE.

The sheer vastness of the SEMA show expanded in 2022, and there’s now so much to cover, that it is almost impossible to see everything. But, one car that caught our eye is this Liberty Walk C8 Corvette. Dubbed LB-R Fighters Works, this C8 is an interesting build, with a main emphasis on looks. The entirely new front bumper is flared to neatly match the front wheel arches.

Inside those arches you find LW’s own wheels, with these being a 6-spoke multi-piece wheel with a black satin finish spoke and gloss black lip. Aero cutouts terminate the front fenders abruptly, but the areo continues to the rear via widened side skirts. At the rear, the flares are of a more traditional type.

But back to that LB-R Fighters Works theme. The wrap on this car is actually quite intricate the more you look at it. The distressed fighter get look is emphasized by carefully placing the distress marks at the Corvette’s creases and lines. Done by a company called Awethentic Wraps, it suits the lines of the car well, especially the lines on the front truck.

It sits lower than a standard C8, too. But worry not, it’s not a completely “ruined” Corvette. Suspension by Universal Air ensures that when show time is over, the C8 can lift itself up and over rough roads without worrying about all the areas marked “no step.” Speaking of air, that front splitter is one of the aero elements, along with that massive rear wing.

Granted, LS1Tech is mostly centric to performance, so we should touch on that subject for a moment. The aero mentioned above? It probably has some amount of function. Under the hood (or hatch, rather) performance is probably the same as your standard Corvette. And that’s OK. Products from Libertywalk have the purpose of looks. So don’t count on seeing this Corvette at the strip or your local track day. Sure, it has an Armytrix exhaust, but that’s probably a small performance advantage. But it is likely just as loud as the visually striking body kit.
