LS7 Intake Manifold

If you’re in need some high performance bolt-ons for your LS build, or simply rebuilding your top end, take a look here.

LS engines are versatile, boost-friendly, high-yield motors that have virtually limitless applications. Building them is just as fun as racing them, so if you’re in need of a cam and an intake for an LS7, check this out.

Forum member avoctane recently posted an ad for a Stage 2 BTR camshaft and a ported intake from Reaper Inductions, and he’s selling them for solid prices.

I have a few items from my ’08 C6 Z06 LS7 that I upgraded from and have nothing wrong them. I ran a best 10.7 w/ this setup and I know I still had more in it with more seat time and adjustments. Shipping is not included in the price, I will need your zip code to get you a quote and it will ship the same day I receive payment or by next day depending at what time you pay. I will have pictures posted later today, thank you!

$250 – LS7 BTR 2 Cam 230/246 .644″/.630″ 115+4
$250 – LS7 ported intake by Reaper Inductions
SOLD – LS7 ported TB by Reaper Inductions
$5 – LS7 harmonic balancer bolt

BTR LS7 Camshaft

As you can see, the throttle body is gone, but you can still get some of your top-end ready to go for only $500. Sure, the intake manifold is stock, however this one is already ported. So you’ve already saved yourself roughly $300 for which you can use to port-match your heads. Compared to buying full cam kit and aftermarket intake combo, you’d also still have money left over to port your existing TB, or buy a cheap new or used GM  from an Escalade, fifth-gen Camaro or C6 Corvette.

LS7 Mild Cam

However, the cam is a slightly different story. You’d need to change the rockers, valve springs and pushrods, as the camshaft has a pretty stiff .644-inch lift. You could maybe get away with using the stock rods but generally speaking at this stage, do you really want to take a chance? Also, BTR considers this a mild cam. So bear that in mind.

For those doing a fresh build on a short block, you are already likely getting forged internals and high-flow cylinder heads. Just make sure you get some with springs rated at .650″ and you’ll be fine.
