Meet Sergeant Square, A 1985 Chevy C10 On An Important Mission

By -

In support of Mission 22, a charity for soldiers with PTSD and TBI, Sergeant Square is a Chevy C10 built to support our brave troops.

It’s no surprise that SEMA has some amazing builds, but we wanted to give a shout out to this one in particular. It’s called Sergeant Square, and is a 1985 C10 that comes from the folks at Stafford’s Garage. And it’s not just the build that’s cool as ice, because the mission behind this truck is really great, too.

Mission 22 is a non-profit aimed to help veterans who are suffering from PTSD and traumatic brain injuries. This is a charity that hits home to Chris Stafford, of Stafford’s Garage, as he too is a current military serviceman. So to help his fellow soldiers, Stafford wanted to create the coolest, most desirable, baddest C10 square body ever. According to Street Trucks, he specifically didn’t want something overtly military themed. Instead, he wants it to help military directly. This truck build from start to finish is meant to raise awareness and funds for Mission 22.

What started out as a rendering soon started to take shape. First step was to acquire the truck. It came from a local yard, and although had no driveline, is straight and mostly rust free. From there, it was time to focus on how it would look. Sergeant Square is slammed, with a great grey on black two tone paint job. That theme carries over to the interior, with a plaid and black leather bench seat arrangement. That same leather is used all along the dash.

The truck is incomplete right now, but that makes its journey even more exciting to watch. A partial driveline is installed, with an LS displayed proudly under hood. We see an automatic is behind the engine, too.

Accessories and plumbing are yet to be installed, so it’ll be interesting to see if this stays all-motor or goes with a power adder. When all is said and done, Sergeant Square will head to Barret Jackson to be auctioned off. And all proceeds from the build will go to Mission 22. Well done, Sarge.
