National Corvette Museum

First, a bit about the National Corvette Museum itself. It opened in 1994, and Corvette Museum delivery became available the next year. It is in Bowling Green, Kentucky just a quarter mile from where every Corvette since 1981 has been assembled. Wonder if that quarter mile distance is a coincidence? Anyway, there is 115,000 square feet of interior space with more than 80 Corvettes from every era on display. There is the Corvette Store where you can purchase all types of Corvette-themed apparel, collectibles, and gifts. Just in front of the store is the Corvette delivery area. And just outside is the fantastic National Corvette Museum racetrack where you can push your car and yourself to the limit. Even if you are not picking up a new Corvette it is well worth a trip to visit the Corvette Museum.

So, what exactly do you get for your $995? Well, most obviously you get to take delivery of your new Corvette at the Corvette Museum instead of your local Chevy dealer. You get a VIP tour of the museum which includes seeing your new car on display. You get a personalized interior plaque that has your name, VIN and the National Corvette Museum logo on it. The experience also includes having a Corvette host assigned to you all day. That host is available to go over every feature and button on your new car, so you know how everything works. A one-year membership to the Corvette Museum and the National Council of Corvette Clubs is included as well. You also get a discount on some touring laps of the track and at the Corvette store. An option you can add on is a photo album of your Corvette being built.

The Corvette Museum delivery certainly offers more than enough to justify the price paid. Especially for the diehard Corvette lover. Which, if you just ordered a new one, it is safe to assume you are. The experience ends when your new Corvette is driven out of the building and the keys are officially passed over to you. All you have to do at that point is drive off into the sunset and begin your adventure with your new Corvette.
