PSA: The 2015 Corvette Z06 Still Sounds Awesome!
2014 might go down in history as the year of the engine. The Mopar guys have their 707 horsepower Hellcat. The Mustang guys have a flat-plane crank 5.2L V8. We get a supercharged 6.2L V8.
In case some of you guys were thinking that the new Mustang engine or Hellcat engine sound really nice, have no fear. The Z06 still sounds freakin’ amazing.

While at Road Atlanta, Chevrolet filmed some B-Roll footage of the new Corvette Z06 so that the media could splice it into their news reports and videos. B-Roll for a family sedan can be boring, but for the Z06 it’s actually quite exciting.
At almost three minutes long, it reminds you of how awesome the new Corvette is. It’s also a bit of Corvette pornography.
Burnouts, track driving, and acceleration runs are all included in the video. The booming exhaust overwhelms just about everything.
That’s a bit unfortunate, because I’d like to see the supercharger be a bit louder, but it’s a car that still sounds incredible. Several different colored Corvettes are also highlighted through the piece.
This video also has another positive trait; none of the Corvette Z06’s engines explode or disintegrate during the filming. It’s a good video and worth giving a watch.
