When it comes to cars, chevymike396 (A.K.A. “Mike”) certainly has good taste. He is the proud owner of a 1993 Pontiac Firebird that has been built to perfection.

In addition to that, he owns a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. His Firebird has a 6.0L LQ4 engine that puts out 320 horsepower and runs a 12.33 second quarter miles at 111 miles per hour! Today we’ll step into Mike’s garage and take a closer look at both of his rides!

The first of these vehicles is his 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500. Though mostly stock, the rig has a K&N 77 Series air intake to make it run just a little faster.

A truck is a truck, stock or not, and easily can accomplish its work. Still, Mike hopes to throw an LQ4 engine under the hood of this rig at some point in the future, and we can’t blame him for that!

The 1993 Pontiac Firebird comes next. Ever heard the phrase “saving the best for last?” In addition to putting out 320 horsepower, this ride also lays down 360 lb./ft. of torque.

This performance monster is certainly not set up for the road — it runs only on the strip — and is equipped with a LS6 intake, 1.75″ long tube headers, a performance modified harness, a UMI adjustable tunnel mount torque arm, and more.

It also has undergone a complete emissions delete and has been tuned by Race Proven Motorsports of New Castle, Delaware. In the future Mike hopes Mosier axles, an LS6 spring kit, and maybe a little nitrous.

Mike certainly has a stunning garage. It’s always great to see any GM beast turned into a true performance car meant to quench the competition of their pride at the strip!

Go check out his garage and leave some comments, browse the photography, and have a good time! Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week!
