RIDE ON! A 2000 Pontiac Trans Am with NOS

Fast cars are wonderful things, as we’re sure that everyone would agree. They’re fun rides to roar down the highway in, or to take to the drag strip for some weekend racing. They’re enjoyable to drive, watch, and to build. Really, there is nothing negative about owning a fast car — with the exception of owning a fast car that you never get to truly use! Thankfully, this isn’t the case for LS1Tech member jblankenship!

Jblankenship is the proud owner of one fast ride, and today we’ll step inside his garage and take a closer look at the beast that lies within!

LS1 RO 2

Jblankenship’s ride is a 2000 Pontiac Trans Am, and it is far from stock. As it sits now, this purple-ish beauty has an LS6 intake, a ported throttle body, ported 241 heads, BTR valve springs, a TV2 cam, long tube headers, an off-road Y-pipe, a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust, a 3600 stall, bolt-ons, and much more. However, the one thing that’s more impressive about this ride as compared to many others is the fact that this Trans Am has, you guessed it, NOS!

Without using the NOS, this Pontiac was able to run the quarter mile in 11.41 seconds at 119 miles per hour. With NOS, it was able to clear the same distance in 10.28 seconds at 129 miles per hour!

This is one fast Pontiac, and we definitely love it! Go stop by jblankenship’s garage and leave some comments, browse the photography, and have a great time! Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week on RIDE ON!
