Shift Your Summer Into Overdrive with Killer Chevy Trans Offer
Looking for a fresh transmission for your ride? Chevy makes it worth your while with mail-in rebates.
It’s easy to pick the right LS or LT for your needs when it comes to your ride. You’ve got plenty of aftermarket support, plus tons of information to make it all work. Of course, none of that matters if you can’t get the tons of power from the Chevy V8 up front to the rear wheels in back. Thus, you’ll want the right transmission for the task, too.
Whether you’re looking for a new transmission to fill in that blank in the drivetrain, or you’re needing a fresher way to shift into overdrive, Chevy is ready to step up to make your summer sing. Specifically, in the form of mail-in rebates on an assortment of their greatest hits.
Two mail-in rebates are in play for the promotion: $200 back on all transmissions, and $500 back on all transmission packages. The majority of the transmissions on the mail-in rebate train are automatics like the Hydra-Matic 4L65-E four-speed, and the Supermatic series of four- and six-speed autos. The duo are perfect for keeping things classic in cars like the fourth-gen Camaro or that 1970 Chevelle you’re working on.
For those who happen to have LT1, LT4, or LT5 motors under the hood, you can also opt for an eight-speed automatic, in the form of the 8L90-E. Each version has a 715 lb-ft torque limit, and was originally used in vehicles like the C7-era Corvette Z06, the current Camaro, and the Cadillac CTS-V.
Those of you wish to shift your own, though, only have one option available for the mail-in rebate extravaganza: the Tremec T56 Super Magnum six-speed manual. This version of the legendary T56 was designed to work with Chevy’s line of crate engines out of the box. Your C3 Corvette will certainly thank you for the upgrade.
The Chevy mail-in rebate offer has been in effect since April 1. You still have a couple of months to get your money, though, as they will be in play until June 30. To get your bucks back ASAP, GM recommends filing the claim online. If you prefer a literal mail-in rebate, though, this form shall suffice.
