A few months ago, Callaway launched the company’s version of the already ludicrously fast Corvette Z06. However, during the entire press release, a few numbers were missing.
The new C7 Corvette Z06 is a controversial car. It’s the first Z06 with a supercharger. One that ostensibly tends to overheat, making it not great for track use.
During his testing of the car, it appears that he gets pulled over for speeding as well. I suppose that’s always a possibility in a car that makes 650 horsepower and 650 lbs/ft of torque!
2014 might go down in history as the year of the engine. The Mopar guys have their 707 horsepower Hellcat. The Mustang guys have a flat-plane crank 5.2L V8. We get a supercharged 6.2L V8.
